Christmas with the Sweaneys

Dave's "Chinese" Christmas gift.  And his attempt at Chinese.

I'm usually the taker of the photos, so I had to make an effort to get in one myself!

After a morning at home with the girls, we went to MawMaw and PawPaw's for Christmas.  We still have one more Christmas to go: Jackson extended family Christmas is January 3rd!

Christmas with the Stevens

Poppy opening the present Elise picked especially for him.  I love this face!
 Stocking time!

 This ham...
Mammy and Popa brought the kids awesome stocking caps from their trip to Colorado.
We had Christmas on Christmas Eve with the Stevens family, so I let the girls wear their Christmas jammies home--good thing since Erin was wore out from the festivities!

Christmas with the Lippys and Cookie Decorating

The kids' favorite thing to do is wrestle with Logan.  He's a good sport about it.

They love their Logan (even if they make it challenging to get a good pic with him!)

Christmas Eve we decorated cookies at Mammy and Popa's before our Christmas festivities.  We try to get together before Christmas for this, but with Mammy and Popa being on vacation and crazy schedules, we didn't get it done early.  Link decorated about 4 and was done.  Elise and Erin were a lot more interested in the process, and both were pretty particular about their decorations.
 Part of the finished product!

Christmas Program and Jackson Christmas

These little elves put on quite the Christmas program through their daycare.  I absolutely loved every minute!
They were all dolled up and I had to get a pit of them with Roxie before we went!
MawMaw and PawPaw came to watch them, too!
Daddy was on-shift (as he always seems to be for these kinds of things), but I was there to cheer on my girls!
They even served us dinner!
At the Jackson Christmas, I only took a few pics of the kids opening presents, then got distracted.  They all seemed really excited about their gifts!

Elise's 7th Birthday

Elise's 7th birthday celebrations started off big with a trip to SDC with the Kelbs.  The girls rarely had to wait in line for the rides, and they got to see the parade and the tree show--they loved both!

Check out Elise's poor nose.  More on that to come.
Elise's great-grandpas love to dote on her, so it's only fitting that she was surrounded by them at her family party.  She looks pretty bummed in these pics because Aunt Sacy had to work on her nose--she had a boil, and it had to be cleaned out.  It took both Poppy and I to hold her down so Sacy could work on her.
 Good old fashioned can-stilts!
Sean and I got Elise her own Kindle Fire for her birthday--she absolutely loves it.  We've been impressed with it, too!
Okay, the pics downloaded in a weird order, so sorry.  More of SDC.  They spent a lot of time on our shoulders that night!

It was past Mr. Owen's bedtime, so he went on to sleep on his dad's back!
I printed this pic because I loved it, but you can really see how angry Elise's nose was in this pic.  I took her to urgent care after her family party at Lacy's urging (thanks, Lac!!) and found out that what started as a boil ended up with MRSA (an aggressive type of Staph infection).  The poor kid had to cancel her birthday play date with her friend Alyssa, and had to keep it bandaged and take oral and topical antibiotic for 10 days.
Luckily we were able to reschedule with Alyssa for part 3 of Elise's birthday festivities: a play date at Build-A-Bear and Play McDonald's!

They made horse best friends: Brownie and Buttercup :)
Every year, I ask Elise the same 20 questions to see how the answers change.  Here is the 2015 edition:
