Jackson Family Update

It's been a wild and crazy time at the Jackson house lately (the above picture will serve as proof), and I've fallen behind (as I tend to do) on the blog!
Valentine's Day was mostly a success--Elise designed and created (almost completely on her own) an awesome V-day box.  And I don't mean to be judgmental towards parents who do 97% of the work on their kids V-day boxes (okay, yes, I do), but those parents obviously don't think about the kid who worked so hard on their own box, but feel like a failure because it isn't an elaborate peacock or other such nonsense.  Thankfully, Elise has a healthy dose of self-confidence, and once we pointed out that she had done the hard work herself and made a gorgeous box, she got over her sadness that her box wasn't as "cool" as her classmate's.

Just a cute pics of the girls abusing their great-grandfather
We had a fairly major injury involving a child in the Jackson household: Miss Erin had a fight with the playground and the playground won.
Stage one, day of injury--chipped front left tooth, and loose front right tooth, not to mention the swollen lips.
Stage 2, day after injury, post-extraction
Stage 3, 1 week after injury, NEW TEETH!
Aside from refusing to eat the day of the incident or the day after any dental work was done through the process, Erin was a trooper.  She was also on an antibiotic through this same time period for an ear infection that cropped up suddenly the Friday before.  Luckily our cute yahoo is back in business.  She'll have the partials in as space savers until she's seven--won't be able to have gum, gummies, taffy, skittles, or anything sticky until then.  Poor kid.

Erin has really taken to being Owen's buddy.  She requested to "sit by" (she knows he's gotten too big for her to hold) Baby Owen in the above pic.  And in the below pic, she had been reading a book to him, and as I grabbed my phone to take a photo, she leaned down to give him a hug.  Melt.
